Holidays, and a few words on staying monochrome.

Assalamualaikum. It's been a nice holiday, 1 week since then have passed. I just got back from a trip, an exciting one. Just got the opportunity to hold my pens again ^^ So here goes.

Some people (quite a few actually) asked me when I'm going to color my works. Honestly I'm learning to do it verryyyyy slowly. And for someone like me, coloring can take up lots of time, which I fervently dislike. Not saying that people who do color their work are time-wasters though. I like colors, just that I'm now bad at it ^^;

Besides, I feel black and white had their own charms in expressing a character/ drawings that is unattainable by colored ones, vice versa. So it's safe to say that for 2012, the works in this blog will stay monochrome until further notice.

Planned vs Unplanned

Hmmhmm. This works better. It's a bit messy on the right but overall I like what I draw without a plan. What do you think?

Just a random update.

Because coming up with a new character is such a hassle, I was thinking of drawing permanent characters. This way I may have more time to find new ideas for the topics rather than character building. I'm gonna draw their profiles (front, back, rear, etc) so for a few days there might be no new comic strip coming.

Oh, I talked too much. And this is supposed to be a comic blog not emo blog. That was a nice luahan hati btw. No offence and thank you for reading. Teehee.

Alas, a piece of reminder for myself; be grateful for what you have.

Selamat Hari Guru! + Experimentation

Regarding the experimentation thingy, nothing extravagant actually. As I was sketching cakar2 itik, I found my left hand drawing vs my right hand drawing quite amusing. I wonder how Pak Cik Leonardo (da Vinci) can draw and write simultaneously with BOTH hands. (or so, that's what I heard). Dyslexic people are truly gifted in a way, I guess.
