Wow, we've gone a long way. This is a our journey together, both me and the small community (you) who have spent some time to visit this humble sketch-blog. Counting each posts have at least 1 sketches with occasionally some more loaded, I estimated the total sketch to be around 200++ not inclusive random sketches not posted.
A motivation to those who just started to be serious in their art/ drawing hobby; Like it or not, through time and practice, one WILL improve their drawing. I'm a slow learner because of the inconsistency, but the result is still there. Don't give up.
Here's something from my PASUM days that marks the transition... style, serious-ness, interest, everything.
Salam ukhuwwah dari Admin.

Step-by-step, Samurai-kun special guide!
Bismillah.
Ok. First thing is he's not even a samurai. But kinda reminded me of Hitokiri Battousai. So lets leave it at that. Ada orang curious saya guna pen apa, software apa, blablabla, so I'd like to share how I do most of my work.
1. Start with a sketch using pencil on a normal paper/ sketchbook
2. Import / Scan it into PC. I'm using a software called Paint Tool SAI paired with Wacom Bamboo Pen & Touch Model CTH-470, starting at step 2-7.
3. Trace the 'base' line using a small-sized brush
4. Add-on some details (in this case, the shiny effect on the hair)
5. Highlight certain lines and bold between the 'holes' to make the character more stand-out.
Hard to explain. Refer screenshot and compare before and previous.
6. Inking! This depends on the way you like it. I want his hair to be black.
7. Done on the person, add in background. Or maybe a sidekick like a cat or pets.
8. Fun part, extra decoration! I'm using Photoshop software here. I added screentone effect and fill his clothes with flower patterns (which will need a separate tutorial to teach, lol)
Done, add in a personal signature! :-)

Sketch Update Post May - Early July
Salam alaik.
I'm a bit inconsistent in updating the blog, so the orders of sketches are a bit jumbled up. This was long made before the redraw sketches.
A Blast to the Past
Salam alaik, o-hisashiburi! :-)
I liked drawing since I was a kid. I was probably around 3-4 years old when I first exhibit my interest in arts (tak ingat pun, agak2 je umur hehe).
How was my drawing in the past? Well of course its magnificent haha. In a kids way lah. Masa tu rasa lawa lah sangat. Recently I visited a website, an artist redraw his arts during his childhood, click HERE to visit. Thus, I thought I'd do the same. But it was more like I was redrawing with the concept of 'what if the characters grow old?' in mind. Larat buat dua jelah lol! InshaAllah kalau ada jumpa lukisan yang legend2 lagi I'll think of something.
Moving on, let's see my drawing about 10 years back! Zaman tu, pengaruh animasi Pokemon dan Digimon tersangatlah kuat... Jadi suka melukis karakter berunsur monster.
Redrawing made me think and evaluate how much I'd grow throughout these years. Though drawing monsters isn't really my thing anymore, it feels nostalgic comparing both versions. I personally liked the frog redraw. Rummage your old works, and try it out too! :-)

Turki: Traveller's Edition
Bismillah, salam.
Bear in mind a few things:
-Approximately 1 Turkish Lira (TL) = RM 2
-100 Kurush = 1 TL
-Saya melawat sekitar kawasan Bursa dan Daerah Fatih, Istanbul
sahaja so the facts may not deem accurate for other municipality/ district in
Turkey.
1. Tandas
Ambil wuduk mungkin
percuma tapi tandas, kena bayar. Paling mahal bayaran masuk tandas boleh jadi
sampai 5 TL atau 10 TL. Jadi, tanya dulu harga sebelum melulu nak masuk ya
hehe. So if you find a free toilet around, most commonly in a shop or kedai
makan, pergi saja walau tak berapa rasa nak buang air pun.
2. Trem / Metro line (Istanbul)
Laluan trem
bangunan besar2 macam LRT Malaysia, hanya papan tanda and a few signs. That's
it, except dekat perhentian tukar laluan trem (macam STAR-PUTRA), besar sedikit
bangunannya. 1 token harganya 3 TL. Mesin token beroperasi dalam bahasa
Turki but one should figure how to buy quite easily. With one token anda boleh
pergi ke mana2 perhentian dalam peta laluan trem. Untung kalau nak pergi stesen
jauh, rugi kalau pergi stesen dekat.
Tambangnya 30 TL. Bear
in mind, tambang teksi BOLEH nego. Asalnya kami dapat 35 TL, minta kurang
sedikit. Mereka tak pakai teksi bermeter. Buckle your seat belt though, boleh
tahan cara depa bawak kereta ni.
4. Bas
Ada banyak bas awam bergerak, even a double decker bus dengan
5. Makanan
Well lots to say about Turkish food, but let's say some of them
tak berapa masuk dengan tekak saya. Because honestly some of it are too bland.
Sebab itu kot ramai rakyat Malaysia datang sini suka makan kebab. Ada rasa
herbs and spices.
Tekstur aiskrimnya sedikit pejal berbanding aiskrim biasa
Turkish Delight ada gred2, choose well.
Ikan segar di pelabuhan sekitar Golden Horn. Ada pasar ikan di
situ. Ikan besar2, fresh2. Bawah jambatan, ada kedai2 makan. Try cari sup ikan.
Makan masa hari sejuk2 memang sedap.
Turkey consist of 95% Muslims so tak ada masalah untuk cari
makanan but here's the catch; kena hati2 juga.
Kebab dijual
sekitar masjid biasanya tiada masalah. Aiskrim dan coklat begitu juga dengan
yang mewas2kan ialah penggunaan gelatin. Jangan segan utk bertanya
"Halal?" sebelum membeli. Sekurang2nya kita usaha.
samping makanan halal. Think of it macam atas flight, dia letak apple juice, OJ
& wine on the same trolley. Pesan "Food no alcohol" for safety
measures.
tiada masalah.
6. Places Recommendation
Berbayar:
Hagia Sophia / Ayasofya
-Hagia Sophia (Ayasofya): Once a cathedral, converted to masjid,
converted to a museum
Antara monumen di dalam kawasan istana
Tiket masuk
-Istana Topkapı: dibina pada zaman Sultan Fatih, mempunyai barang
pameran asli tinggalan nabi2 seperti tongkat Nabi Musa, periuk Nabi Ibrahim,
-Kapal cruise: menerusi selat Bosphorus.
Masjid Biru (Blue Mosque)
Dataran Taksim
Kenderaan yang tak dapat dikenalpasti (di Taksim)
Masjid Abu Ayyub al-Ansori, juga letaknya makam beliau
Demo aman di Taksim
Burung2 merpati di perkarangan masjid berdepan Spice Market
Percuma: Masjid Biru, Masjid Sulaiman, Masjid Ulu (Bursa), Makam2
seperti makam sahabat Abu Ayyub al-Ansori. Kawasan shopping seperti Taksim,
Spice Market dan Grand Bazaar.
7. Bahasa
Okay honestly speaking. They are quite the monolingual punya
bangsa. Even
term bahasa arab seperti "wuduk" mereka tak faham, jadi kenalah buat
menghafal frasa2 asas sebelum pergi, it made us look like ayam & itik
trying to talk with each other, haha.
8. Souvenir
Brother Ali pesan jangan membeli cenderamata2 yang berwarna biru,
dengan simbol seolah2 'mata' di dalamnya. Katanya itu 'mata syaitan', buat
tangkal.
Wassalam, Adieu!
